1G-specific car stalled now it won't start/also cam gears not mving on start up.

92 mitsu eclipse gsx awd auto.
my car was running fine. i stopped at a friends house turned off my lights and went to set my timer and the car stalled. now when i try to start it it cranks over but my cam gears don't move . what happened?

Timing belt broke. Sounds like you might be in for a new set of valves and the head work that goes with.

Then explain how the engine cranks but the cams gears don't turn.
If the crank turns the cams have to turn if the belt is good.

The crank's stripped the teeth off of the timing belt.

That doesn't mean anything. Like huafist said and I implied the belt's bad = broke.
You actually have to pull all the plastic covers to check the belt so you can see where it goes around the crank and check the teeth on the belt.

well please show some curitosy to those who are trying to help you out dsmchoas76 and also i would double check to see how the timing belt sits around the crank pulley.

The belt is bad in some way, shape, or form. Have fun getting your head rebuilt for sure. Hopefully you didn't damage anything else.
