electric oil pressure gauge

electric oil pressure gauge

i hooked up my autometer electric oil press, gauge and i notice that when i press in the gas the oil pressure goes up, and when i push the pedal to the floor it goes up to 100 on the gauge. is there something wrong with that or is this normal. at idle it sits at 50 on the gauge!!

It is normal for the oil pressure to go up when you give it gas.
