My brother who visited from Iowa wanted to check out my car and he accidently pulled the wire to the boost gauge which provides the light bulb with electricity while trying to pop the hood.

Well, after this happened I decided to fix this. I took the boost gauge apart from the gauge pod and rewired the thing. I was dissapointed to find out that the light still didn't work. I then thought "hmmm I guess I'll have to switch the wires on the fuse". So I did that but still.....no light on the boost gauge.

I really don't know what's wrong and I need your help. The fuse I'm currently using is a 10. Perhaps changing the fuse to a 15 or so will fix the problem :confused:

I really don't know and need help plz. :coy:

well changing the fuse will not solve the problem unless it is blowing and then likely there is a wiring problem with what you repaired

No, there is no wiring problem. I connected white with white and black with black. :rolleyes:

did you check all the simple things like is there power @ the gauge and is there a good ground next is the bulb good if all is good the problem is in the gauge
]

yes, I did.

There is a little red bulb which is supposed to lighten up the numbers on the gauge
I tested if the bulb worked by connecting the wires to a battery and it did so there shouldn't be a problem with the bulb.

Ok the bulb works, now have a look at check for power at the actual gauge wtih a test light. They are cheap and easy hook one end up to a ground IE anywhere that is bare metal on your car. Then Just touch the wires for the Bulb and see if there is power.

Ummm I don't quiet understand. The bulb gives light to the gauge and as I mentioned before, it works fine (tested it with a battery).

What do you mean by "check for power at the actual gauge"?

You're making this way harder than it is. LOL

Get a test light, find a ground that is within reach of the gauge's ground. Connect the test light to that ground then test the power source that is within reach of the gauge with the test light. If it works (the light in the test light lights up {wow that's alota light}) then wire the gauge to those two spots.

Use a test light to verify correct voltage on 12v and ground where the "black and white" wires meet the gauge/bulb socket.
