420 rebuild cost?
wzup every1? i'm new to the forum but i've been doing some rebuild research. just bought a 99 GS w/about 100K. i've set my goal at about 400hp so a rebuild is definitely in the cardz for da near future. i recently asked a local shop for an estimate on a complete rebuild to get the car ready for 400hp and they told me it was gonna hurt about $5800 NOT INCLUDING a turbo, nos, ect. does this sound reasonable or should i tell them to take a hike???
wouldn't it cost about the same to swap, rebuild and maybe even turbo out a 2.4L???? again, i'm new so i'm not sure if this estimate sounds good or not. i know this hobby isn't cheap and i have no problem spending da money but i'd appreciate n e info u guyz can give me. thankx!
