180deg off on the crank

I know how to check for it.. now I am asking how to I correct it? Do I just rotate the crank sprocket until it is in the correct position?

you DO know that every OTHER time you come to TDC on the Crank the Cams will be 180 out - don't you?

No, I DIDN'T.. I think thats the reason I posted here.. to get more INFO on it.

Then you'll have a better idea.

Keep in mind that with the way the timing marks are set up it's not possible for the crank to be off 180 degrees.

okay.. I think I am startin to understand it some more.. just have to read through it a little bit. Thanks for the help.. makes me wonder why people are pointing me in that direction that I thought above..

Not to mention that this topic is completely in the wrong forum. but here's how you line everything up to TDC

Cams: keys are pointed upward, marks together.
Crank: v-notch on the crank sprocket aligned to the pointer on the oil pump housing.
