Hi,
I am new to this forum and to this car.
I am only 15 years old but i am very interested in buying a 95 gst 5 spd. i also have looked up the "big 16g" turbo. i was wondering if the stock clutch could handle the power it makes, and can someone tell me the amount of torque it does handle?
thanks

First off a big 16g on a stock set up isnt good! send off dont buy a fwd. instead get a awd. follow the power up grade path if your into modifying your dsm.

the reason i want a fwd is because i know it is faster from a roll and u can even see the diff by looking at the trap speeds in the quarter. im not looking to get low e.t times. also is there a differance between the "big 16g" and a 16g?

Yes, the big 16g has 50 more CFM of flow and can boost 5 more psi.

the diffrence between awd and fwd from a roll isnt that big of a deal. plus when you do race from a light you murder cats off the line and have good quater mile times :thumb: . yes their is a BIG DEAL with a 16g and a big 16g. the 16 is a SMALL 16G and can be ran on stock injectors. i wouldnt bother getting a BIG 16G because for less mone you can get a EVO III 16g which is bigger.

Not to sound like a troll or anything here, but to put it nicely and blunt as possible:

FWD is for civics!

i just found out that the gst models have drum breaks in the back and smaller disks up front, so im sure the 60-0 distances are longer than the gsx. does anybody know the exact 60-0 numbers for both models

GS-T's don't have drum brakes. Trust me, I own one. Also, why exactly is FWD only for civics? That's really stupid and ignorant to say. Granted AWD is better overall, but that doesn't mean that FWD is bad. I like my car as FWD. And we FWD's do have an advantage from a roll, though not huge it's decent.

hi
i was just wondering how much hp or psi the stock internals can handle. what will break first with a big 16g?
thanks

Nothing if you tune it right. That turbo is on the small end of the spectrum. 2G's have been up to 560whp, 1G's over 500whp consistently. It is all a matter of tuning though. Each application is different. But I have never seen any damage occur personally from this turbo. Read about it on the internet, but was probably the users fault.

Also, each turbo acts different at a given psi.

Alright, Kat. Before someone says something rude and you start thinking we don't like you or something, do a lot more reading (and searching) of this site and these:
