Ok, admittedly, I'm not familiar with the seating infrastructure on DSM's....

On my passenger side seat, the slider is fairly jacked up. You have to hold up on the slider handle, and jiggle the seat up and down repeatedly, until it finally slides forward/backward.

The driver side one, however, is quite intact, and works perfectly. I basically never need to slide the driver side seat, but on occassion, I'll pick up a 3rd passenger, so here's what I'm wondering:

Is it possible to just swap the sliders for the time being, since I really don't need to slide my driver side at all? This way, I can just put off getting new sliders, until I get new seats.

before you get into all that, feel around up under the passengers seat, theres a spring there that runs from the back right corder of the seat to the front left i think, it hooks onto a bar attached to the latch and it seemed to have something to do with keeping tension on the pin that locks the seat into place, i dislodged mine when pulling the infinity amp and it didnt latch right, you may have just dropped the spring...

Well, I'll check that, but I doubt it. The seat doesn't have any problem locking in place, it just doesn't really want to lift out of being locked into place, really. I'm probably going to take the seat off, and get a better look, might just need a good oiling, or to have something removed, I was just asking if that would work or not.

Also, I have some wires underneath my drivers side seat, but it's definitely not a power seat...has all the manual seat options on the side. I'll try to get a pic of the harness, if that might help at all.
