Yes I know, blah blah blah melt fans blah blah.

The reason I took it off is because it took atleast an hour off of my soon exhaust manifodl install. My question is, they'll be off for about a week or to. What would be a dangerous temp? I have a datalogger, so i will eb keeping my eye on the engine temps. I am replacing with a 2G Ported manifold, could i use a "Manifold blanket" on it to keep temps down, i really hate the look of the shield.

How can you read engine temps with a logger? Do you mean intake temps?

how in the hell is it going to save you an hour? leave them in, just dont use all the bolts. ive got 2 bolts in my top one and my bottom one has two more and its cut a bit so i dont have to take the o2 sensor and dipstick out to remove it anymore. both of mine come out in maybe 2 minutes max..

HAHAHA we lifted the car to remove the radiator fan(1 bolt was on the bottom) an yanked out the bottom shield.(that took the longest).

But who cares.

Yes, i figure if the intake temps are extremely high, then theres a problem.
