Tired of puting miles on the car?

I just wanted to know is there a way to turn off ur oddometer so u won't put no miles on the car? i know there is a sensor on the transmission but i am just wandering if it will affect anything in the car, or if it will cause problems?

That would not change the fact that you'd be putting miles on the car it would simply stop reporting miles you put on. Beyond that don't you think that is a little shady? :thumbdown

Heh, well its not really legal if you intend to sell the car again at a later date......
but, i used to work on Suzuki Samurai's 4x4's...lifted and modded and all that, and i forgot to plug the sensor into the top of the tranny when io swappen it out and i did notice that the odomoter stopped moving. That was that vehicle, not sure if it would apply to a dsm though.

But honestly, i wouldnt do it on purpose, makes rembering oil changes, maintanence etc a pain in the ass for those of us that have bad memory.....and its dishonest :thumbdown
