got a p roblem. I installed a walbro 255, aeromotive FPR, and pte 680's. The only problem i have are the 680's. Yes, i got all new seals in the head and the rail. The injectors never seal. They are very loose. #3 always leaks under boost leak test. And its always tearing up fuel rail seals. No matter what I do, it always leaks at the injectors under a boost leak test. I got the "FIC" styel injector seals for PTE injectors brand new and they are installed. WTF?! Yes, base fuel pressure is set correctly and the fuel rail is tight. Should I get an aftermarket fuel rail? Do they fit better?

From what I understand injector seals in the intake manifold will always leak under a boost leak test, and the injectors in the rail should be able to twist, its not supposed to be tight to the point you cant twist them at all. when putting the seals on the injector and into the fuel rail put a little bit of oil/spit on them and slide them in the rail easy, twisting them as you go. If you've already trashed the seals by taking them in and out violently then I would reccomend going to an injector clinic with the seals and find some that are tighter fitting, im sure they could make something work. There are various shops that deal with only fuel injectors in my city, I went to Dr. Injector but there are many others. :thumb:

I had the same problem with mine . Use a little oil on them when you install them and go slow . Also I went to napa and got some replacement seals, they sell just the 4 o-rings in a set . Make sure you get fuel resistant o-rings . They first tried to sell me some junk out of there o-ring box . Once you have the new rings installed put some oil on the o-ring and some in the injector rail . Push them up in there "without tearing them up on the sides ". I had to gingerly work mine up in the fuel rail . The o-rings that came with the injectors where to soft and leaked right from the start . Then when you have them in the rail dont mess with them dont twist them or do anything else with them carefully put them into the manifold holes . I had mine leak 4 times before I figured out the soft green o-rings and the wide o-ring groove on the injectors doesnt work .

My seals/o-rings didn't leak at all after I installed new injectors.

i found the problem. I didn't actually install them...........kinda funny though how it happened. My buddy was so excited that I got new injectors, he took it upon himself to install them for me. I mean, i was ready to do it myself and then he showed up and just grabbed my tools. He was trying to hurry me up so we can go to this ### car show. Anyways, while I wasn't looking he put the injectors on the rail and placed them down. I'm like, "man, when you're around I never get to do my own installs."

He forgot to put those little rubber spacers on top of the injector. You know, the ones that keep the injectors from moving all around and they keep the injector from pushing too far into the rail. Well, I drove around like that for a week before i could figure it out when i pulled out the injectors. I couldn't believe my eyes.............this kid runs 10's in his talon and did all the work himself...........

10's huh? probably what he told you...

you've never seen anyone run a 10 in a dsm? OMG, it happens every day. check out nate from straightlinespecialties.com. He runs 10.80's no nitrous all day long. 10's in the 1/8th is like a 16.0.

ive searched all over and im looking for information on injector installation.... this is only of the only forums ive found that has somewhat of a "good procedure".... i have denso 660's and im ready to put them in my car tonight or tomorrow... i need to know the full procedure in injector installation as far as .... de-presurizing the fuel lines... what i need to take apart ot get the injectors in... such as the fuel rail? anything else... so if anyone can find or write the full procedure in injector installation they would win my coolest person of the day award:thumb:
