Upgraded the turbo and now I need new fans. Can I get away with one high flow unit or will I need two. Also, will a 8.5 amp fan work? or is there a certain amp fan I need to look for? I see a lot of 10", 12", and 14" fans on ebay for cheap and I can make my own brackets if need be so that's not an issue, I'm more concerned with the electrical part.

Money is an issue and my o2 sensor just decided to kill itself and take out my "engine" fuse while it was at it cause it ground out on my AC fan. Now I have to pull the AC fan and run without one for a couple weeks.

Somebody help.

Its not so much how many amps the motor pulls it how many CFM the fan will pull through the radiator. YOu want something that will thin enough for you to fit your turbo and other goodies, but flow enough to keep your motor cool. Most the time if you live in a cooler climate you can get away with one fan if you run the A/C. Here in AZ that just wont happen so two fans for most of us.

Also, your car only uses one fan while you drive, unless the A/C is on, unless it gets super hot.

I don't usually run the AC unless my woman is in the car, and even then only on short trips. I plan to replace the fan with a low profile unit, just gonna have to run a week w/o one.
