3/8 tubing

can i use 3/8 fuel line for my coolant tubing to my new 16g? the guy at pep boys said no, but ive read on here some people say yes. id LIKE to get actual coolant tubing but no parts stores have it. any ideas?

That's what I'm using. 3/8" (or is it 3/16"? I have no idea) fuel line. Got it from Advance Auto Parts in a pretty big roll for a couple bucks. Just get some clamps along with it for, obviously, clamping.
