Ok, my car is down right now cause the clutch went the other day, I was just looking around the car and when I looked underneath the front, I noticed this piece of clear hose hanging from my radiator. I don't have pictures unfortunately... my friend has my camera at the moment :( Anyways... It's like 3-4 inches long... and it's hanging off the bottem of the radiator, and is attached to this nipple that's about 3 inches in from the right side of the radiator (when standing in front of the car).

I looked around for a spot for the other end of the hose to connect to, but i couldn't find anything. I looked on my mom's car (stratus) cause i could crawl under it... i don't have a jack with me :thumbdown. I saw the same nipple on the radiator on the stratus, but there wasn't a hose hanging from it.

Can any of you guys tell me if this piece of hose is needed? or can i just take it off? If i still need it... where does the other side connect to?

Thanks :thumb:

So would it be ok if i removed it? or cut it down to like half size? Cause it's kind of been annoying me LOL... it just hangs there and i can see it all the time

Like can i take it off and set it aside somewhere incase i ever need to drain the coolant?

I guess you could remove it or trim it off a bit.
BUt trust me I'm assuming that thing makes draining alot easier, mine doesnt have one, and when it drained te coolant shot outta there like a bullet.

That day i learned taking off the rad cap, gets coolant out fast :D

You could take it off. You will need a new one when you go to flush your coolant system.
