Will a 1g AWD custom exhaust system bolt up to a 1g fwd turbo car?

Just bought a custom 3" exhaust system for the 1992, I want to put it on my fwd turbo Laser. This exhaust goes right under the rear differential on the awd. Will it bolt up to a fwd and fit right?

sorry but i dont think they'll fit
i know a fwd exhaust wont fit on the awd
and i'm fairly sure the awd wont fit on the fwd

I can see why a fwd exhaust will not fit an awd because of the rear differential but I can't see why the opposite is true. Isn't the rear diff lower to the ground that the fwd's rear trailing bar or whatever connects the rear wheel control arms together? If so, then why not?
