91 FWD turbo engine in 90 AWD turbo car swap

hi,

i got a 90 eagle talon tsi awd with a broken motor. it is definately not repairable. a friend of mine would sell me his 4G63T. it is from a 91 eagle talon tsi fwd. my questions:

does this fwd engine will fit without any problems in my awd?
does this 91 fwd engine run with the 90 awd ecu?

Best of my knowledge it will - In fact I "think" my 90 has a 91 motor in it - There are some ECU - Tranny & Spline differences on the 90 but it's still a bolt-up as far as I know - Certainly use the Air to Oil Cooler & OFH off the 90 on the 91 - I'd make sure the Balance Shafts are out of the 91 before I put it in along with all the other commom sense Maintenance & pre-install checks...

you will need your 90 TB, coil and power transistor.. i believe thats all, if i think of more today ill post it here...i put a 90 motor in a 91 last winter so its still somewhat fresh in my mind and like Buck said, use the 90 oil cooler
