I was driving down the road today and about 1/2 a mile in front of me was a car that I called as a Chrysler Conquest. I always wanted a Conquest because of the modifications you could do so I am fairly familiar with their body style. When I caught up with it the car turned out to be MITSUBISHI STARION.

I have NEVER heard of this! But what was really weird is this car had F16 windows just like the SUBARU SVX.

OMG

I must find out what style of Starion this was... I have done searches and more searches over the Internet and none of the starions I run across have F16 windows.

Anyone know of these???

F16 Windows are the windows which are cut in half. Only half of them rolls up and down, the rest is solid but glass.

they are the same car. i own a 89 starion myself actualy. you might have saw one with the rare but alvilable shade guards. for some reson the ones for the starion/conquest (often called starquest) are huge and almost come down to a little above 1/2 way on the window....

and whats the diffence between a Starion and a Cordia???(look the same)

what is that

Yes, those are the types of windows I was referring to. I also own an SVX... kick ass car!

Thanks for the replies... I will check out that Cordia as well.

Are starions DSMs?

i know nothing about these cars, accept they are RWD, turbo 4 bangers, and mitsu makes them...

I don't think that Chyrsler and Mitsu started producing their first joint car until 89 which would be the first DSM.

Only cars produced in joint between the two companies were DSM cars, the models are listed on the main page.

So I think that makes the Starion just a Mitsu not a DSM...

but... if it can produce insance amounts of power and be not that reliable... maybe it could be an honorary dsm? ;)

am i barking up the wrong tree if i suggest trying to fab a 4g63 head onto a 4g54 (think that's the code) block?

not dsms, but i believe they were one of the first chrysler/mitsu joint efforts with the mitsu starion and the chrysler conquest Tsi

that didn't occur to me, where is my head??? duh... mitsubishi starion, chrysler conquest... depends on how you want to define a dsm. a car that has a sticker with dsm on it (like us) or a car that was a joint effort (marketwise)? on that note, does anyone here have a starion/conquest or access to one so they can look to see?

A co-worker has one and cant find a rebuilt kit for it. You guys know here he can get one? I figured you peeps would know since its kinda a DSM.
