Well, I finally got around to attempting to install my autometer boost gauge and air/fuel gauge, as well as my HKS type 0 turbo timer. First off, thanks to everyone that's contributed to the VFaq's, I woulda been lost without em! It still took me longer than I expected... Was a pain in the ass.
Car is a 93 Talon TSi AWD.
Anyway, I'm having some problems. I hooked everything up properly, as far as I can tell. The boost gauge works fine. Gets power for the light, and responds properly to pressure. The Air/Fuel gauge doesn't work. It powers on, but it only shows one bar at rich and doesn't change at all, so I assume I mis-tapped the O2 sensor wire. I tried finding the one on the passenger side by the kickdeck, but it must be buried deeper than hell because I couldn't find it anywhere. So, I decided to tap the wire on the ECU and followed the instructions here: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/instructions/afmeterinstallinstructions.htm What should I check? I'd like some ideas of what to look for before I tear everything apart again and try to fix it... I thought it was working fine since it powered up and showed rich at idle. :/
Second problem is that my turbo timer doesn't time. I plugged it in to the harness, easy enough. Grounded it to a spot on the frame. Ran a line to the green wire attatched to the emergency brake. It powers on fine, and lets me change the settings etc and shows the battery voltages. When I turn off my car though, no matter how long it's set to time, it only idles it for a split second before shutting off, instead of the 4 minutes or whatever it's supposed to. What could cause this? I have an HKS type 1 on my other car that I could try and swap in to see if maybe the type 0 is just broken.. *shrugs* blah. Pain in the ass.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.
