not sure but i think a fmic would be to much for a 14b, upgrade to a big 16 then get a fmic

www.dsmtimes.org can prove that the 14b has proved it's definately a good turbo and worth upgrading the car and keeping this turbo. Its ran 12.009 and multiple other 12 second slips. If you want a fmic then I say go ahead and get one if you have all the supporting modifications installed already.

Goodluck.

It should be good. I wouldn't try keeping the 14b for too long though. like you said you should upgrade to the fp. It will make it ten time's easier to hit the time's your shooting for. sure a 14b has ran 12.009 but shit man thats like a miracle. I definitley wouldn't keep the 14b if I planned on hitting 12's. I say get the fmic for the 14b. It should be able to fill up the fmic though.

Well, you could just throw on a fmic and be done with it... If you run stock boost. But if you're putting on an fmic, chances are you don't want to just run stock boost and it'd be pointless if you did. If you up the boost, you'll need basics such as boost gauge, controller, intake, exhaust, higher flow fuel pump, bigger injectors, and probably fuel management like an SAFC.

I ran 12.55 at 108.7mph on a 14b turbo at the shootout. That was with a IRC race FMIC. For the rest of my mods see my profile just note that due to breaking stuff I was using a stock head and flywheel.
