hey guys, im in the process of finishing up a 95 talon tsi build. bought the car with bent valves and a bent connecting rod. i did a full motor rebuild and im running into some road blocks. the motor is fully built bolted to the tranny and sitting back in on 2 mounts, im looking for someone with good knowlege and expirence that at there leasure could come and point in a right direction/give me a hand on putting all other parts back in. im located in brimfield mass 30min west of worcester and 30mins east of springfield right on rt20. not sure if ill get any bites but if someone could help it would be much much apreciated! give me a call or shoot me a text and i could give you some more info on what i have done and where im stuck. thanks in advance! jeff 413-668-5076:thumb:

I hope you get a bite to help out a bit. If not... revert back to Benny's RULE #1-- Purchase The Proper Service Manual! (factory manuals preferred myself). All answers can be found there. I followed step by step with the factory manual for my 90 and was surprised when the engine was out and tranny was on the bench with no steps left. I even stated "That was almost too easy...". Step by step out... step by step back in (including each bolt and their torque specs). :hellyeah:

Once you do get it in, you are going to have all the info to bring it up to spec. Also completely listed in the manuals unless modified.

Good luck my friend! Well worth the effort in the end!

thanks man, im slowly chipping away at it. i know american v8 motors like the back of my hand so the motor tranny combo wasnt so bad. however all the vaccum lines, oil lines ect is whats getting to me. im trying to do all the easy stuff myself but it would be great if someone with good knowlege could come out and spend a couple hours helping me button up the rest. im willing to compensate gas and we can grab lunch for whoever can help. also itd be nice to be able to meet and see some other dsm'ers!

My first car: 1970 Olds 442 W-30 with a 455 Here is a link to a 95-96 ECB Factory Service Manual. Engine, Chassis, and Body Factory Service Manual for 2g 1995-1996 DSMs You will have to verify that it is for your specific make and such. The one on that site for my 90 is almost exactly like my factory manual. There are more at the bottom of that page for the electrical systems and the ever so important technical information manual to help understand each components functioning.
