whats up i just moved out here and need to know whats up.. i was told by a few people that they only do emissions out here and no inspection i have a cracked windshield and need to know if it will pass,, and i had some one else say they take you car and drive it and i was wondering if this is also true or not thank you

I am not in conneticut but i am a maryland state inspector . A cracked windshield will not pass here and i am pretty sure it wont pass in any state! And yes, driving the car is part of the inspection.

when i say drive i heard they drive it and keep hitting the brakes but if they do drive it and something goes wrong can they be held responsible? and as far has the crack yes on of them comes pass the line of view but what i really need to know is if ct actually has both inspection and emissions and not just emissions

You can pass emissions with a cracked windshield here. I did.

No inspection (thankfully). They might want to do a VIN verification for an out of state vehicle.
