Hey Guys, Thank you in advance to anyone that may be able to help me here..
i FINALLY got the mitsu i wanted.... 1999 Spyder.. WOOT!
4g64 2.4l Auto, Non Turbo...
ill be adding a manual and turbo this winter but for now my problem lies in getting this one running how it is.. i have NO spark to ANY of the plugs.. im going on a limb and assuming that its the crank sensor, since the symptoms of a bad crank sensor match the ones im having.. (crank no start, no fuel pump action, yadda yadda) but im not sure.. i have the car at a friends house where he is trying some things out using the internet and a haynes manual thats pretty useless..
anyhow.. is there a way to test the Crank sensor,without just buying a new one hand hoping? they are about 60 bucks.. and id rather not replace it now if it isnt necessary..
my next thoughts were the TPS, or the Coil pack (doubtful there) and the Cam Sensor.. ive checked all my fuses, and layed all the spark plugs on the valve cover to check em.. and nothing.. cranks fine it seems , but wont start.
i LOVE this car (even though its in project stage) and i have tons of plans for it that are all in the waiting stage.. so i cant wait to make it pop.. any advice, or info, or maybe someone has a Crank sensor i could borrow to check and see if its the problem..
