DesMoines GSX ..anybody nearby ?

Wondered if anybody had the time to check out this GSX in person and confirm she is all that it's claimed to be..will cover gas expense if nearby. Would think the "Buy It Now" option reasonable if the car is for real.

yeah i have seen tht car once or twice in omaha ne . i believe and it is a clean car.. ill call a friend who lives in des moines to find out more if u want me to.

I think he says he only ran stock boost levels..his guage package shows a boost dial. Sure appreciate the help..as far as the price for this car, I like 1G DSM's and this one ,at least what I see, is as good an example as I have seen in a while. People pay that much for "built" GSX's that have tired drivetrains.

If one of you who offered to check her out in person could confirm no major problems...smoking, slipping clutch in 4th/5th at full boost, tranny crunchs, high speed vibrations, whines, oil leaks... that would be great.

Yes, I would be shipping her out to NC. I have no time unfortunately to make the trip out there myself.

Just went through this guy's old posts...all of them. He got the car only last April and has pretty much bad mouthed it mechanically from the get-go. Cosmetics were the strong point but had to replace IC, turbo, valve stems, talked about removing balance shaft but apparently never did, camber problems. Mentions in Ad about never racing her but posts suggest a different story. His love affair with this 90 GSX which at the beginning was "the third owner (he's the second) will have to pry the keys to her from my dead hands" ended up going South in the following 8 months...resprayed quarter panel never mentioned in Ad,

He paid quite a bit for her originally which he would never disclose when asked multiple times so ......

Yeah im sure he beat up on it i mean who doesnt beat up on there dsm or any car with a turbo or non turbo. I mean think about the mods whats the point doing mods if your not going to beat up on it and really find out if your getting the power or not. He could just be saying that to get a fast sale out of it since he needs money.

I have seen this car a couple of times and talked to the guy at a couple of our Dsm meet. The car is in amazing condition and from what ive seen and heard everything has been done right. Hope that helps
