reliable shops in milwaukee area

I'm in the same boat man - I'm looking for any reliable DSM shops in the Milwaukee, WI area. If you hear of any, let me know, as I will do the same for you!

None I trust in Milwaukee for tuning turbo imports.

There is Beyond Redline Performance in Green Bay, WI; Luke Stubbs is the owner and is an experienced tuner, mechanic, engine and transmission builder, fabricator, engineer and welder. His shop has been around for at least 8 years (how long I have been dealing with him). Also, Luke is an extremely experienced DSM mechanic, as that is what he started out his shop with. He also raced a 10-second 1G up to 2005 (which he is now getting ready to start working on again for 2008-2009 seasons), and has tuned some pretty serious cars over his history.

He also has an in-house in-ground AWD dyno with wideband (dynocom; like a mustang AWD).

He is the only shop I trust with my car, and he is an extremely trustworthy guy (and his employees). The shop also has very good security, and NOTHING sits outside overnight. He also has good insurance, and hasn't had any problems with theives. Cameras, alarm, etc.

Luke is who I bring my car to for dyno-tuning, as well, I have had him do transmission rebuilds and engine rebuilds in the past for me. Now, I do it myself, because I needed to learn these things.

Whatever You do DO NOT go to HID tuning, owned by Clarence morrison aka CJ.... this guy is a scammer. I lost 15 grand worth of parts out of his ### shop in west allis. He moved to another shop somewhere. DO NOT GO TO HIM. save yourself the headache......

Well, I'm not really sure to be honest...

Here are the problems:

-idles good sometimes, but if I let it sit for awhile it eventually shuts down
-really bad fuel cut off @ 4000 RPMS
-oil leak only after the car has been running it leaves a bit overnight (but if I let it sit for days it doesn't leak at all)

That's about it - I do know tho that my intake pipe doesn't have a hose to connect to my valve cover breather, so the ECU doesn't know that its getting more air.

I second Mattspyder... Lots of bad shit from those guys... hope you get your shit worked out matt!

ams is alot of money tho

I encourage people to read/learn, then try to work on stuff themselves. Its cheaper, will save you money, you get the enjoyment and satisfaction of fixing it yourself, plus you will gain knowledge of general mechanics and will help you out down the road sometime.

i second the beyond redline post. i know luke and his brother adam personally. i went to scool with them (8 years ago) They both have had dsm's since they could drive. any and all info, tech, tuning, parts you need...They got it. the drive to Green Bay is definitely worth it.:thumb:
