Union Grove, Great Lakes Dragaway DSM Meet up

Hey everyone, well it seems every time I go to the track I'm the only dsm there. So I was gonna see if I could get some people interested in goin to union grove, right by the wisconsin/illinois border, right off of 294. Anyways, my friends and I always go up on the weekday nights cause its not crowded and you can literally run as many times as you want, AND its gets cold up there at night to its good turbo weather. So would anyone be up for goin this Tuesday, July 25th. Tuesday nights are "ladies nights" so all girls get in to race or watch for free. We usually have a couple srt4's, and a few v8's. We were just there last night but I didn't drive the gsx cause of a boost leak. Sooo anyone interested?

6pm-11pm, We usually get there around 7 though.

hows tech inspection i got a few minor oil leaks but if i wash it then you won't see it.

They dont do anything. All you do is fill out your card, and give it to the guy, then he just writes your number down on the windows. I have never had to pop my hood. It's an open night so street cars pretty much walk right in.

Ya...I dont pass tech because I dont have a sunroof...If I fix it soon, Ill go, and Ill bring my buddy with his evoIII 2g...We both are looking for mid 13's, hes auto so he cant launch

My other friend raced his camry for fun last time and he had a cracked windshield. I don't know if the tech guy didnt notice or what.

I'm hopin to break into the 12's this time. I ran 13.2 last with a blown headgasket and launch problems.

I have Tuesday off. I'll go. I'm not saying I'll run, and even if I do, I'm not saying I'll launch, but I would like to get a few really good logs so I can start rough tuning on Link. My wife can even videotape some people's runs on our digital camera. So if anyone wants their runs recorded, I can email or send them a file.

Looks like I might be getting my sunroof fixed...

Unfortunately, this might be getting installed on tuesday, which makes it hard to run down to GLD that same night...

If I do get the sunroof installed in time tho, I will be heading down tuesday...I wanna get a base run so I can see where my car is at...Stock clutch makes launching very difficult, but Im hoping for a high 13-mid 13 like I mentioned earlier...Hopefully I will see a huge improvement after I get the clutch and 16g installed later this summer/year...

My buddy will come too with the 2g, but his car is too powerful for his stock auto trans so he really doesnt feel like racing...He also thinks it will be too hot, and both of our cars really do suck when its hot out..I overheat with my fmic and my tuning is way off...

well if you remeber how hot it was yesterday during the day, when it got to be night up there we were actually getting cold with t shirt and shorts. looks like it could be a decent turnout

I no longer have Tuesday off. One of my coworkers is in jail and my schedule had to be redone. Looks like I won't be able to make this one. Before, I had Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off. Now I have to work Monday and Tuesday. Dammit.

It will be close...If I get my sunroof done monday, expect to see a blue 91awd and a red 98gsx on tuesday...If Im not there, I will be in Lombard watching glass being placed on top of my car, and thinking of where Im not...

Ya, I learned my lesson at Import wars...Not even worth it...You wait 2 hours and you get 1 run...Unlike here where you get 20 runs in 2 hours...

I parked on the grass also tho, next to literally like 5 other turbo dsm's and a bunch of evo's...That was kinda cool, altho I was scared to death somebody would jack my shit...

Import wars is only fun to watch...Driving in it is a long, sweaty processs....
