For those of us in the general Memphis area, we probably know about this site. I am here to advice you to stop using this site do to some serious issues with the Administrator.
What Happened:
I had a signature on the forums as follows:
Michael
Online Operations Manager
Rev Motorsports
N. Kingstown R.I.
1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST
1996 Honda Civic EX Coupe
I was posting throughout the day, following all guidelines, not offering any Rev Motorsports services anywhere. I had posted in a thread about gas prices and another asking about why import prices down here are so inflated.
I am a proud member of the Rev Motorsports racing team, but am displaced down South. I did not even bother to think about offering Rev services as they are located 1200 miles away and no one is going to be interested.
This morning I logged on to 2 Private Messages, 1 from a moderator asking me to remove the Rev Motorsports from my signature, the other from Z06 (Site Owner) himself telling me he has edited my signature for advertising when I am not a sponsor of the site. Then pretty much insinuated that he would be strong-arming me to sponsor to even mention Rev Motorsports.
I responded with a message stating that I was not advertising any services, had no actual contact information listed in my signature nor make any sort of claims as to services we could possibly offer. I stated that I am a proud member of the race team. I pointed out the fact that Rev Motorsports is located in Rhode Island and is 1200 miles away and is in no means a threat to local businesses or sponsors.
I logged back in to check to see if their was a response (mind you I have not added the information back to the signature) and I log in to the following message:
You have been banned from these forums. Reason:
Don't get smart with the admin.
Date ban will be lifted:

Now I had not made any posts about this stupidity of my signature, only a Private Message that neither implied or suggested I would replace the signature information.
So a fair warning for all, the administrator of that forum is on a god complex. Watch what you say as far as a shop you belong to, team, crew, parts you may use or recommend. This will all get you banned.
