Saturday, August 20th from 9am to 9pm is the 2005 woodward dream cruise. We should get as many dsm's as we can and cruise together. I'll try to figure out a place to meet up, Maybe have a bbq and such, then cruise. Drop a post if you want to attend!

Here's a link to the dream cruise's site.

i live in louisville, but my mom lives in the lincoln park area,,, and i'll be picking up my 2nd gen talon the weekend of the 6th i hope, its a little beat up,,, but its a dsm and i'll most likely be up for the cruise.

You know the crazy bastard from the Buckeye State is going to be up there... I don't know if my N/T is going to be able to run around very well, but I can drive the balls off of that car. Count me in, I might cruise with Jon if nothing else, although I don't know I need to call him.

I'm definatly going, wether it be in my dsm or my truck. Hopefully the laser will be running by then, I just have to find a place near by to get some work done on it

I should be there, well i'll be there just not if my Eclipse will be, but i'll try. just post on here where you plan to be meeting up. i would like to see all the local DSMs.

The cruise is for classics. The cruise is already crammed with too many ricers and classics are sitting in the heat overheating because of it. Cruise any day you want but that day.

Actually the cruise is for everyone and there is a huge import/tuner crowd that's there every year and nobody, including the guys with the classic's, that go ever seem to care. In fact all the big car company's showcase all there new cars out there also and that never seems to bother anyone.....

No actually the above poster is correct...We live here and know what's up. While it is true that there are imports showing up and the corporate wankers are catering to them and that the classic car people are generally friendly folks, it is really not an event for the DSM people. The scene is virtual gridlock, it took 4 1/2 hours to make it from Pontiac to Ferndale and back last year.
The event is so large that the cruising starts weeks in advance. Cruising Woodward on the days just prior to the cruise is a more managable deal.

umm dude, the cruise has always been a 5 day event, where the hell have u been

and the cruise is (well its over now so was) open to any car who wants to cruise, much like the novi 50's fest. there is no specific genra of car

the whole f'in point of the dream cruise is that back in my mom and pops day they used to cruise woodward and then it got shut down to people a cop saw drive by more then once. now its to celebrate the hobby, lifestyle, and fun of cruiseing. not just for the mullet boys dude.

if u lived here ud know that, maybe u have been under a rock ur whole life dude

Umm, Dude, the cruise has been going on since the '50s when my parents were hanging out at Ted's Diner and Bloomfield Township put three bullet holes in Dad's Olds. There are events all over Oakland in the weeks prior, at Motor City Steel, at the Kmart at the VFW posts and many other locations all building to the actual cruise (which is a one day event b/t/w) Just like the Dream Cruise, they're advertized as "Classic car" events. Have you confused your DSM for the Silver Bullet? Yes it's used to celebrate a hobby and lifestyle but it's their hobby and lifestyle.
You confuse their graciousness as an invitation but you're too young and dense to get it.

the cruise is for everyone - the right 2 lanes are for classic cars.
no real reason to make it anymore complicated then that.

anyways on saturday - i only saw 1 EVO - 2 3/s i's - 2 2g's and 1 1g @ the criuse.
it most deffinatly is not a huge import crowd. but it is a large crowd of
people that just love cars.
