well Im from outside chicago and im now living in Minot ND i was just wondering if there are any DSM Clubs around here........ i know there are some other car clubs around but they all seem like A$$es. So I was wondering if there are any ALL-DSM clubs around and if not what would it take to start one up? Im just tired of being in the middle of no where and having no one to comunicate with about our cars. If anyone around ND has any info or ideas on a club I can join or we can start that would be GREAT!!

There used to be Dakota DSM, but that faded out. Have you signed up on www.northernanimation.com and www.fargostreet.com?

no i havent signed up for NA because they are the ones that i was refering to when i mentioned that the other car clubs are A**ES i have briefly meet the guy with the NSX at roadsounds one day and people like that kinda make me sick. spoiled and cocky.......and my car isnt quite up to snuff with all there mod lists. so i might look into fargo street and see what they are about. Oh and i heard there is a new one in town called clutertech, ever heard about them?

yeah i live in Minot, but go to school in Grand Forks, NA has actually faded out hardcore, there is still an active forum on the website but that is really all NA is currently, they arnt all asses, some of them seem like it but for the most part, they are pretty good guys, I know a pretty good amount of them so if you have anyquestions let me know!

As far as the DSM clubs go in minot, or for the state infact, there is no all DSM clubs, go ahead and start one up! Ill join!

I got a buddy in GF that has a 96 talon TSI that would join as well!

Hey a friend of mine is going to be getting a DSM real soon while I own a 91 GSX, we should start a DSM club here and I would be more than willing to help in any way possible. I live on the base and I see a lot of DSM's around here but people either do half ass mods or they put a huge wing on their car and call it a day. A DSM club would help to educate others and would also be a place that we could come together to help each other out seeing as their are no real performace shops around here.

If we started a DSM club in ND, i would say that we have to have a stipulation against stupid ppl joining, that have to at least know something about their dsm and have some kind of idea what they're doing...no dumbasses that would just look at you funny when you started talking about a blo thru set up...

And btw, no bright orange super wing eclipse, you know who I'm talking about if you cruise around at all. Anyway, yeah. It would be nice to see nothing but DSM's take over T & C parking lot one friday night coming up

the dsm club wouldn't just be minot, it would be statewide, anybody in north dakota with a dsm and has at least a basic knowledge of their dsm would be welcome to join, and that includes the orange eclipse with the big wing, providing he has a basic knowledge of how his motor works.... we will not discriminate against people who use their dsm's for show cars and not racing...a dsm is a dsm, whether its a 420a with a body kit and big wing, or a 4g63 awd that runs 10's...they would be welcome to join if they are not completely retarded as to how the motor works...

Set up a kind of registration (free)/ Guest Book kinda thing so we can all keep in contact. Just meet up and chat for a little while we'll take pictures and such, maybe have a bbq or something?
We could met up at Oak Park but space there is kinda limited.... any ideas?

I called and tried to set up a reservation for 7:00. They don't take reservations on the weekends but they are aware that there will be approx. 15 of us so far, I told them up to 20 people so we should be ok. They said that they will try and have a table prepared for us.

Almost 5 months since my post
Not bad.... there's like 400 here in Minot now. Most are 420A's, but there are a few GST's and GSX's runnin' around.

I am in Minot in the summer, and my car is still there right now. I am in Fargo for college though. Maybe next summer we can get something going for good.
