Who's down? Let's get some dates and places to toss around and see if we can't get something togather. I think somewhere in Indy would be good, but being a resident of New Albany, don't know where up there would work. I'd say a dat of early August would be far enough off to plan, maybe August 1, or even a previous Friday/Saturday if there are some tracks up there we could sport.

Well July 23rd is the last Midnight Madness event. That would be cool. The track is open on July 23, 27 and August 10, 17 and September 14 and more later in the year. Id like to do a cruise then all head out to the track for the night. Maybe the southside of Indy? I know there was a hooters meet not long ago on the northside but maybe we can meet at the southside one. I really dont know where we would meet up that we could hang for a while. Alot of people cruise on Friday and Saturday nights on the ss. Might be a little too crowded but then again it will be everywhere. Any suggestions? :cool:
 
South side of Indy works for me :D

Aug 10-12 works too, too bad more people don't view these forums and reply to this, we could get a really nice DSM meet going. I'll post up on some local boards down here about it, see what we can stir up.
 
I never went to any previous ones, but I do recall seeing pics from one a while back, maybe 2002? Looked rather large :thumb:

Let's get a big meet going, make something happen :cool:
 
I'd be up for a meet. I'm from Terre Haute, Indy is only an hour away.. :dsm:
 
Hey guys,

I'm going to be in the Indianapolis area in a few weeks for the 3/S National Gathering. I was wondering what other car things there are to do in Indy. Where are the local cruising spots?? Any local messageboards for sport compacts and imports? Or DSMs for that matter.

All the cool guys will be at the DSM Shootout on the 15th, so you better work around that date.
 
i'd be down for a meet. how bout an IN,OH,MI,IL meet? mabye like my town south bend,IN. its equal distant from IL and OH, and its 10 mins from MI.
 
:talon: I'd be up for the tri-state because of south bend being soo close to me, but we would have to inform the other states because I am sure that they wouldn't be looking in here, and Indy is in the center of the state making it a fair drive for everybody. I'll be good for a Indy meet. :thumb:
 
What's going on? Well i missed the last meet b/c I was having car problems and guess what I still am. For some reason, I think it involves my alarm, but my battery keeps dying. Also my spark plug wire closest to the timing belt keeps popping out. So trying to figure that out. Also that's right a vacuum leak. So I need to get that fixed. So if anyone has any helpful tips that would be tight. I'd like to make the next meet so i'll keep watching.

I'm up for a meet as well, I just bought my dsm today...Also, I'll be attending ITB with my car club so won't be making the shootout.

Well looks like we have about 12 guys so far that are wanting to go. Im in the process of fixing a rattling sound in my bellhousing but I will show up no matter what I have to do. We need more people! So whats everyone think about the date? Aug 10th looks good to me unless ITB sounds good the following weekend. Has anybody thought of getting a local motel/hotel for the night or weekend near the track just to hang out and/or drink a few? I think thatd be pretty cool.
 
Well its going to be tough for me now because I start a new job this Monday working 330-12 Mon-Fri and some Saturdays. If we have a meet on a Sunday, I can come no problem.
 
Hey guys, I know of a a friend who lives and goes to school (UTI) in Indy, and the local forum and website for it is indycarz.com just so you guys know. If you want to get some indy people to the meet, thats the place to post. They also got some good vids and stuff. Maybe ill see some of you at the Chicago HIN Saturday.

i live in brown county, and work in indianapolis, i'm game for whenever. i go to the suds (little drive in eating place) in old greenwood (south side of indy), about every saturday night. there's always a ton of cars, usually saturated with muscle cars and WAY too many mustangs, but its fun to drive through there and get called "rice" by guys, then follow them out and smoke em'. :) also , a lot of people cruise up around "southern plaza" on the south side of indy, on friday and saturday nights.

Sorry for raisin' this one but Starr brought up a good point, there's always huge muscle car turnouts at the Suds just off US 31 S and Main St. in Greenwood. We should meet up there and show up the Southside Mustangs...I think we should all meet up this weekend (Aug. 7), I'll even send out PM's or emails.
