ok so i took one my dsm to track today, 99gst, past few days been having sum random misfires, had put 650 injectos in it and tuned with safc2, injectors are good changed them few times and also coilpacks are good tested, and spark plug wires are good all are throwing spark, now heres where gets lil weird, week and half ago wen got it tuned, put new plugs in it and today after runnin it 3 times went on runnin to 3 cylinders, so i pulled the plugs to check them and right in cylinder 1 i puled out plug and the little arm hook on the tip of plug i like literally snapped off and is all burnt up, idk where that little arm peice went and tried to fish it out with magnet but no luck, thinkin it may be in piston sumwhere, but whats scarin me now is i had drove to advance to pick new plugs up to swap them out n now with new plug in it still isnt throwin any spark in cylinder one, im clueless to why this is, can sum1 ### helpppppp:confused::confused:

1 cylinder usually indicates a/an/or stuck injector, bad wire, low/no compression, oil or water in cyl.... Could clean injector/s, swap out 1 and 4 wire on coil pack and see if misfire changes to cyl 4. Check color of diode and arm on broke plug to see if oil fouled out, too rich/lean. Lastly a compression test to see if, a big doubtful if, the miniscule piece of plug went through piston or little more probablitity wedged open or chipped a valve.

yeah, i swapped a few of the injectors around nothing changed, i also swapped the coilpacks around and those were good too..come to find out spark plug blew apart and went threw the piston, did a compression test and noo compression at all...thannx for ## input.

I have the same problem, except I have done all of those things and I still have a misfire, it's not as bad as it once was, but I still have it. Been dealing with this issue for awhile now.
I changed the plugs, plug wires, new cam position sensor, I've done everything that has been suggested thus far, with no results.
Any ideas?

OP, do you have a 6 bolt swap? If you do, it's due to that. Try resetting the ecu and see if it clears. If it does, take the car to about 3500 (Where I noticed it) and see if it drops the cylinder again.

Have you checked compression on cyl #1 yet? That missing electrode didnt disintegrate. If it left the cylinder it may have taken a valve out with it. Have seen this a few times. Also this would indicate a lean condition for that to be missing either due to a bad tune or a failure in the fuel system. Clogged injector, bad pump, etc etc.
