Hey I am pretty new to dsm tuners and i want to ask a question and hopefully someone can answer.

I have a 2g Eclipse Gst. I jumped timing and bent the valves in my head. Well i replaced my head and homolic balancer. Well after that happened the car would start and run for a min but the idle bad and turn off. It would bring up the crankshaft positioning sensor. So i replaced that and my machanic noticed that the timing belt tensioner was bad so i replaced that also. So now my car will runs on 2 cyliders and will run for 30min or so, then idle bad and cut off. The troble code that it brings up is the camshaft positioning sensor. Some ppl told me that it could be a coilpack. Will someone plezz help me out , I love my dsm thought it may have its problems but its mine and i dont want to get rid of it.
So if anyone knows whats wrong plezz tell me

first thing i would do is recheck your timing marks thoroughly. 2nd thing i would do clean out the coil pack holes where the plug wires go in. When they get greasy they will have a bad connection. 3rd thing is replace the transistor pack. My friends 2g ran on 2 cylinders and the transistor pack was the problem. 91-99 are the same for transistor pack. maybe the coil pack is the same for those years too not sure.

i Know none of your codes are pointing at this, but the only experience i have of a car running crappy for 30 seconds or so and then shutting off was when i installed a 2G maf on my 1g and the maf was bad. Once i installed a known good one, the problem was gone.

If it wasnt setting the cam or crank sensor code before the belt broke but its setting them now then i would definitly try reseting the timing marks first.

always go with the obvious.your mechanic probably broke the camshaft position sensor while removing the head.when i didnt know anything about eclipses i did the same on my eclipse.
