jdm tranny

Live in Maryland. Looking for somewhere in the Midatlantic area that sells the used import jdm tranny. There used to be a place in Baltimore City but can't find a number for them anymore. I think they were called ANA imports? Am trying to replace a tranny for my youngest son before thinking of rebuild. Anyone have any info? Its for a 1992 Laser AWD. Thanks for any input.

Keep in mind that most of the transmissions from Japan have a different final drive than the USDM ones. check the transmission info on VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions to make sure you get one that will work with your rear end.

No offence.
Tell your son that "JDM" Is stupid and for the honda kids.
There is nothing "JDM" that you can get for a decent price that we can't get here better and cheaper.
If you want to spend a fortune, look at shep racing or TRE.

He does not have alot of money right now and I have already gone the "I have a good tranny for you"route. We purchased a tranny at this place before for my older son 2 or 3 years ago and it works just fine and he will be looking at it and installing it for his brother. He knows what to look for.If my yougest son had the money he would rather have a shep tranny of course, but right now we are just looking for the place we used before. I noticed that the responses are from the west coast. We are on the east coast. Not looking for anywhere that it costs a fortune to ship. The kid is 16 and it is his first car. I am already getting him a new clutch and flywheel. He needs to help pay for the rest. When his brother is off from college this summer he will rebuild the other tranny. Thanks for your input though. But not helpful.
