I have a 91 GST (3"dp, 2.5" cat) and i'm looking to get 2.5" catback piping made, because after market FWD systems are either too expensive or 3". My cat has no flange, just 2.5" straight pipe out of it so i'd just slip fit or clamp the pipe on. I'm gonna get the muffler separate, so i just need the pipe.

Does anyone know of a good place near DC/Baltimore?

What's a reasonable price for just the piping? Or, does anyone around here have interest? Has anyone DONE this system around here?

Anyways, thanks everyone. I really really need an exhaust.... stock exhaust is terrible!!

You could always just take it in to a muffler shop and have them weld a flange on your cat. Then you could run any catback you want.

But i dont like any of the aftermarket systems b/c they are either 3" or too expensive, which is why i am going custom.

magan racing 3in downpipe to a 2 1/2 in test pipe to 2 1/2 in rest of the way back and under the rear axle no muffler looks like a stock exhaust.

yes i did it when i worked at a shop. my mods are big16g, 550inj,maft, 3in gm maf, intake, k@n filter, manual boost controller, lowered 2in, 3in downpipe,2 1/2 test pipe, 2 1/2 in exhaust, 190 fuel pump, short shifter, and gutted. if you want you can come by and check it out.

Ya man it sounds awesome. I have some weight redux but its not gutted. I'd like to feel the shifter and take a look at that exhaust setup to see how you did it. Also interested in the MAFT and GM MAF setup. I'll send you a PM.

I got a buddy with a good background in welding who might be able to help you out. He used to work at Altered Atmosphere and is the one who designed their 350z exhaust. Drop me a line if you're interested and I'll put you two in touch.
