Dsm meet / autocross Aug 20 21

Hey everyone there will be an autocross at the cumberland regional airport aug 20 21 and i would like to have a dsm meet / autocross. the local focus chapter is having there meet that weekend, my brother is tring to get somthing set up with the sr20 forums and a friend of mine is posting something on the 3si forums. if nothing else maybe we could do the autocross and then goto rocky gap state park for a cook out and what not.... would be a blast and i should have my eclipse running by then. let me know what every one thinks about this. hope to see everyone there.

I work with National Road Autosport and we will be piloting our new class at the August 20-21st event.

The class is called SCU - "Sport Compact Unlimited"

It is open to any sport compact or mini-truck with almost any mod. No nitrous, but you can run adjustable suspension as long as you do not adjust it while on the course. Turbos, superchargers, body kits... Doesn't matter. This is a true "run what you brung" class.

This is very similar to SM, but without the SM limitations, such as min weight or engine type or placement. In SCU you can run multiple engines in any configuration or from any family (dual engine VW, 350 RX7, or s2000 with a jet engine), any body panel materials, airbags, hydros, etc. Probably a little more extreme than anyone will run, but just giving you an idea.

Cumberland has fast, fun courses run on an airport. Instructors will be provided if necessary.

We can even have an all DSM Shootout as a subclass if enough people show up. $30 per day, and it's well worth it. I hope you can make it out.

PS - I'm out there in a Hyundai, but there are DSM roots there. !
