help ### car wont accelerate

Well i own a 1995 talon non turbo car doesnt accelertate it some what stutters has anyone had this issue i changex sparkplugs no smoking from exhaust or heating up

Its had it since i got the car no cats...im going to try to take it toget scanned but i cant even move it with the rpms jumping like that its weird it will idel around 900 u rev it a little and rpms drop to around 200 im woundering if anyone on her ever experience something like this

Changed fuel filter was really dirty but no help any ideas guys i know its hard to tell by a video but anyideas or anyone had a similar problem

Could be a TPS or IdleSw.

This is just my blind guess, so don't go thinking that is what it is until you get the cel sorted out.

I just had a MAS problem and it similar in the acceleration but the rpms def didn't do that. You could unplug the MAS and see what it does.

Interesting gauge cluster you have in your N/T.

Put getting the codes pulled at the top of your priority list, anything else you do you're just throwing money at it and getting no where.

Yup i know i guess one of the ex owners was doing a clone or maybe it was a ex turbo any ways ill get back with u guys with codes just been busy too mess with the car

One of my buddies told me i could pull up some of cel codes by doing the key dance well anyways i was able to but im inable to figure what they mean since he didnt know any help guys really wanna get this car running before i end up junking it

If your car is a 95, then it would be a OBD1, 96+ is when OBD2 was implemented. Some 96's are OBD1..

Check this link! http://www.troublecodes.net/mitsu/ It list the blinking codes. hope this helps

A little update my crank shaft wires where burned off so they where replaced car turns on but after a while it shuts off by itself will upload codes later on the shop I had it at gave up on it fuel pump was good car has spark they where assuming my ecu is fried anyone know the symptoms of a bad ecu. Another thing I noticed car will not stay on at all if AC is on

Btw RPMs dont go crazy anymore only thing power cuts off at about 4.000 rpm feels like the car wont move

New,update after all the trouble I finally got the car to stay on replaced the map sensor and now the car turns on stays running and RPMs dont bounce like crazy now the the issue is my idle,is high its at 2500 if I turn on the AC it drops to about 1800 could it be a bad idle control sensor I have no types of leaks,all hoses and gaskets where checked

The high idle is most likely the idle air control valve, take it off and clean it by soaking the end im gasoline or somthing similar for an hour

Finally running good replaced map sensor iac and my throttle body gasket who knew those little sensors would cause my car to idle bad and make,my RPMs go crazy when driving
