From my research on here I've found out that a lot of pre2000 eclipses have a problem passing the OBD-II emissions test because the readiness monitors do not set to "ready."

So the other day I went to the dealer and payed $105 to have them set. After they were done, the tech told me the EGR system monitor was not set (and that I would not be able to pass inspection until it set) and that I should drive around for 10 miles and that it would set. I drove for 17 miles and was checking it intermittently with my OBD-II scanner and it never set...and then, instead of erasing the info on the scanner, I accidentally erased the data on the ECU :banghead::banghead::banghead:

So, before I go and spend another $100, I just wanted to check with y'all and verify that the EGR System readiness monitor will actually set on the mitsu's that have problems with the readiness monitors. Anyone know?

Don't know about Texas, but here in Maryland it would pass cause unlike the domestic vehicles the imports don't give a p1000 which would be drive cycle incomplete.
