I have a 1991 TSI AWD. Currently the build sits with a 2.3L stroker slowboy racing longblock with a 60trim and pretty much all supporting mods, however I am having some real trouble that is beyond my knowledge to solve. I am new to the mechanics of the talon, however, owning a DSM obviously it is forcing me to learn stuff.. Sadly, I don't know enough about it to figure out the teething problems the new setup is having. I have put too much money into the car for me to try and fix the problems with trial and error, but as a student I don't really have enough money to get it sorted at a legit garage.
I have a SAFC and a wideband 02 for tuning, but I can't seem to be able to tune it properly to get a decent idol or a decent tune for the road. Currently I am running the 60 trim with 660 cc injectors (probably not big enough for big boost) but as I am running a factory ECU I can only build up 7 pounds of boost.. It would be awesome if there are any DSM people about who could give me some help with these few problems (that are probably really easy to fix if you know what you are doing). All I really need to sort is the tune so I can drive it without fear of blowing it up. If any fellow DSM'er from the Michigan are would be able to help me out one day i'd really appreciate it; even any suggestions of people who are reasonably priced to sort it out would be great. I live in St Joseph around 35ish mins from South Bend Indiana or an hour and 20 mins away from Chicago. If anyone could come and help i'd pay gas plus some money to say thanks for the time.. Any help would be great! I really want to see it back on the road.
Thanks in advance.
