ok so i have the 90' 1g FWD 4g63 6-bolt main..and i had just bought new spark plugs the day the clutch was replaced..so i put the new plugs in and not even a week later they were like pitch black and the ends like they were already done...so i put another new set in and now i have to use starter fluid just to get the damn thing to crank over and get started, i don't think its getting enough spark to ignite the fuel or something...maybe its my ignition coil? Let me know what you guys think so i can check everything before i just go and buy parts when i don't need them

Could be your spark plugs or your igniter chip. As far as the plugs go, just use ngkr's for our cars, those high dollar fancy plugs look nice in the store, but the ngks are time tested to work well in our cars, well at least mine. Im facing similar problems but i believe mine is either coil or Igniter chip.

If you have to use starter fluid to get it to start then it's most likely not a problem with the spark but a problem with the fuel since when you added fuel (starter fluid) it starts. There has to be spark present or it wouldn't run off the starter fluid. Make sense? As far as the plugs getting black/fouled, maybe you are getting too much fuel. Your profile says you have a 255lph fuel pump, but you don't have an afpr. Maybe your overrunning your stock fpr.;)

well i had found out that my car has a tune already done with the Eprom Chip and it was tuned by motor-sports guys or something along those lines...so i am going to have a buddy of mine help check it out, and i doubt that its the Ignitor Chip? which i think your thinking of the sensor that goes on the side of the head right by the #4 cylinder....

The sensor on the side near cyl 4 would be your cam sensor, not the ignitor. The ignitor is back by the ignition coils, close to the timing belt cover. It has 7 or 8 wires coming/going to it and is partly responsible for firing the ignition coils. Hopefully this save some confusion in the future.;)

i know what sensor it it....its i had to replace it i just can't think of the name of it...but mine was the 7-prong one...so i guess ill just test the ignition coil when i start on the mastercylender for the clutch.

ok so its not my coil pack..so i am now guessing its the fuel regulator or my injectors...anyone had any probluems with them clogging at all...and i know about the fuel filter so i got a new one of them...so anyone have any comments reguarding this befor i start tommrrow?
