whats up with my short term fuel trim ??

i just noticed that.

its a zero most of the way and i am getting a CEL for it aswell.

any ideas ?

When your in WOT, your ECU goes into open loop mode and doesn't read fuel trims from the ECU.

Grab another log, but don't bother logging any of the fuel trim information as that is just reducing your s/sec. in this instance. Log RPM, airflow, timing, and O2 voltage.

thanks, i did 2 more today will post em in the AM

Heres some more

Like Derek said, log only timing, airflow, Front O2 and rpm. Drop the rest of the stuff, since it's worthless information and sucking up the limited ECU -> logger bandwidth. Also, can you post up your SAFC correction factors and corresponding Ne Points. What are your TPS trigger points set at?

Oh, I almost forgot, have you set your byte timing yet?

byte timing ???

i found a major boost leak last night , and since the fix, no CEL at all.

Ill make the correct logs with the correct parameters thursday.

The byte timing allows you to maximize communication between the Palm and the ECU, thereby allowing the highest data transfer rate. It basically allows you to pull the highest number of samples / second of data from the ECU without inducing errors.

I know that pocketlogger has adjustable byte timing, but I'm not sure about the other programs.

Oh yea i did set that when i first set it up in the car.

Im using pocketlogger.

cant wait tommarow , get my 3" exhaust and get started on tuning.
