1G-specific Finally logged, TPS! knock! Timing everywhere!! help

Hey guys I have had a cutting out problem with my car for as long as I can remember, finally got a logger and I need you guy's help please!! Sorry I dont know how to put these onto the computer yet but lemme explain.

Okay, for starters I wanted to find out wtf my CEL was. It says "Throttle Position Sensor"

Alright so I start a log from a stop, as I'm taking off my throttle position remains a 0%

at 906 rpm my timing is at 11 deg, by 2156 rpm its at 35 deg and i pick up 4 counts of knock.

I decide to drop it into 2nd gear at about 40 mph and hammer down, i watch my throttle position, still 0% percent. The instant I punch it in 2nd gear the car completely falls on its face. And get this, with it to the floor, but 0% throttle position reading, at 4843 rpm it shoots me 43 counts of knock a negative 2 degrees timing, and when this happend I mean my car just CUT out it is unreal.

Everyonce in a while I would pick up like 11-25% throttle position reading and my car would run decently, then shoot back down to 0% and stay there, meanwhile my timing is all over the place in no pattern whatsoever.

SOOOO.... lol Im leaning towards my TPS?? Is it just completely DEAD?? With it at 0% and me giving it gas, does that cause it to pick up knock even at such low rpms? Help me out guys I need you guys more than ever lol. Any advice and input is appreciated sorry I cant put my logs on the computer I dont know how to yet lol.

EDIT: oh and also, the whole time my hi trims @ 97% mid trims @ 100% and fricken low trims at 126%

I just got over this problem and it was a huge pain. My TPS would decide when it wanted to work and I would have to really get on the gas for the CEL to go away, but only for a few seconds. When installing my AFPR and pump I also picked up a TPS from a guy on here for $15 shipped and once I put it on and set it according to the Haynes manual, it was working perfectly and my gas mileage has improved tons so far. I would recommend you try picking up one that has been tested and works and throw it on one saturday. You will have to give in and remove either the throttle body or fuel rail (easier in my case since I was doing AFPR install). I personally think it would be easier to unplug the pump and relieve fuel pressure and just take the rail off to get to that bottom bolt. If you need any more help/ more questions about your TPS problem ask. I just got done dealing with it for a couple months.

Sounds like a bad TPS. They will make the car buck almost as bad a fuel cut.

You need to double check the TPS wireing to make sure but it wouldn't surprise me if it was bad. I had to replace mine two years ago.

I tested mine last night, it's bad. Same problem as you. I'm really fed up! I was driving hard in 2nd gear then my head hit the wheel!
