Need a new powerplant

Hi all, I just recently purchased a 92 Eagle Talon awd with the engine locked, or so i think. I have been looking and looking for another engine, but have had no luck. Anyone half way local have anything? I am having a helluva time locating even something that needs rebuilt or that doesn't cost $2500. Oh, I am about 10 miles north of Topeka, but willing to travel to score an engine. Thanks in advance guys.

I have a 6bolt n/t 4g63 motor and head good crank with 2g pistons and 1g rods arp head studs and main studs its apart but all there would take 250 for it with head and cams

If yours has no holes in the block, maybe fix what you have already in the car.

Thanks dsmgst1996, I will keep that in mind, but I dont know what I am doing yet. I have a guy that is pulling an engine this weekend so I need to wait to see if he does because I committed to him and I dont want to be a jerk like that.

dsmspick - I need to get the car apart to see what kind of damage there is in there. The problem is that I have a car in the garage in the middle of a head gasket job and the other stall is the reserved for the Barracuda. I need to get these jobs out of the way so I can put the talon in the garage. I work on alot of cars, probably to many, but its hard to pass up the extra money when someone asks me to fix their car. Ugh.

I would check for sure that it is locked up before you yank it out. Just take your time if you need extra hands hit me or my dad up. (dsmspickdad) is his name.

Thought I would let everyone know that I found out what was wrong with the engine. The #3 cylinder rod is broke. I was able to push the piston down, Ugh! Now i need to take the engine out to see if I still have a rebuildable core.
