If u have a dsm weather its on the road or not, just tell us about it.

I will start it by saying ive got one but its far from road worthy. So a thumbs up for a ride or im bring the Nitro to next meet.

You didn't tell us about your car at all.

I will properly start. I have 2 DSM's. One a 1995 awd Eclipse. The other is a 1992 awd Plymouth Laser. Both are 5 speeds And both are black. My 2g is currently in the garage on jack stands waiting for a freshly rebuilt 6 bolt. I bought my 2g for 100 bucks and it had been sitting for 2 years in a front yard that was 5 yeas ago. It has come a long way from the day I brought it home.
My 1g found me about 2 years ago. I paid 150 bucks for it, had to drive up to Wisconsin to get it out of a barn where it had been sitting for 8 or 10 years. I love DSM's and wish I had more time and money to put into them. Any ways there is a little bit about my DSM's.

I have a 95 Talon TSI FWD, Purchased it 5 years ago when i was 16, Looked as ricey as they get (Bright blue, body kit, blue wheels, white interior) BUT had a fully built 6 bolt 1g motor with a turbonetics 60-1 turbo and MANY other go-fast goodies! So my intensions were to keep the motor and gut the body/interior & go back to stock body/interior. Very little cash flow then, so i made due with a few other added parts, drove it for a while, and as backwards as this sounds my "BOYFRIEND" at the time blew it up! Spun a rod and had a 4" hole in my block. I was young and didnt know as much then but was a great learning experience for me. Built another motor, added and swapped parts.. etc. Talon has been sitting for a few years while ive been building motorcycles, but Currently selling all of my Turbo motor parts and my new built 6 bolt 1g longblock, etc. Talon is down to the shell, ready for paint and a whole new ground up build. No more rice for that talon. She will be sitting pretty this summer. :D

93 Eagle Talon TSi Awd. I am DSMspick's dad. I have two daughters that drive DSM's so I turn a lot of wrenches. I have to much time and mods invested....but it is the need for speed that keeps it fun. Thanks DSMspick for the kudos! I am the old Ninja of the group. Next project big brakes, fender flares and new paint.

you + 3 kids that all drive dsm's? Now thats a kicka$$ family. Wish either of my parents were into cars when i was growing up at home. Would have been much easier.. but im not complaining.. Learning and building on my own is an awesome/rewarding experience.
I like the big brakes, fender flares and new paint idea! Cant wait to see it! :thumb:

Well in 05 I had found a srt that was totaled with the plans of upgrading my girlfriends car. Well her car had almost 200,000 miles on it and every thing started acting up on it .So we got rid of it to get her a more reliable transportation. At that time we didn't have a garage to transplant the srt stuff to a basic neon. So then i was left with a srt neon that i tried parting out with no luck. So after it sat for a while i had to figure out what to do with the srt. So in a mad dash at work one weekend I tore the srt part by part bolt by bolt to were it was a shell. Then I started putting all the parts in big parts tubs and then into storage.the shell it self wasn't salvegable it got hauled away for scrap.

In 2011 had a eclipse come into the shop that totaled it was a nonturbo gs with a165,000 miles on it. It needed tlc and bodywork and paint. The owner didn't want it anymore so i bought it from them.

When I got the car home I started making a list for repairs . When I started looking deeper in the engine bay . I started seeing Chrysler badges on parts then it hit me . So out came the parts from storage .

So I started searching on the web to see if it had been done and what did it involve, which led me to dsm tunners .

So when I asked about this type of swap I was referred to a post were one was hacked up and they didn't give much details on how the did it. They used a pt cruiser intake. So in order to close the hood they had to cut the shape of the intake in the hood so it would close!

So I then started taking measurements and lots of them. I then posted that I could do the swap and that it would fit with out cutting up the hood. So then the hate started flying which only fueled me to do the swap even more.

So lets speed up to the present. Its in my avatar pic <------ over their and the hood closes.

What needs to be done yet? Every thing that goes with a swap but custom. The reason its not done yet , well thats another story, but that is in my build journal .

Oh buy the way the srt was bought for around 300 to 350 dollars. The eclipse 250 dollars.

I have a 94 eagle talon es which I had converted into a turbo. Have made a lot of mods to it like a front mount intercooler system. Have a dragon z body kit and evo style SEIBON carbon fiber hood and bride seats to put on. Have had this car for 12 years now proud that I still have my first car after all these years.

Nice! Post up some pics or a link to them. Congrats on still owning your first car. I wish I could find mine. It was a n/a laser.

98 GS. Stock, aside from a GS-T muffler and some Team Dynamics. REALLY needing to lower it, just need some money, haha.

I thought I replied to this thread a while ago. I think I got started and didn't finish.

My name is TeeJay. I've been working on my 92 laser(AWD) for over 5 years. It started innocently enough. I bought the car to make a nice driver, but after the turbo crapped, I had to get a bigger turbo. then the engine started burning oil. So new motor. Then I wanted to clean things up and redo bushings and such since the motor was out... this became a project car quick. I garaged it and bought a truck. I haven't been able to show up to meets yet. Something seems to always come up.

I have a lot of mods....

Also pics uploaded if you want to check out some restoration and modification.
