I have been here in Colorado for a long time, I am about to move to Mo. by July 1, 2010. I saw that there was not much of a scene down there....any shout outs?

Hey guys im from lake of the ozarks. heres the deal i had a 96 gsx adn stupied me didnt really know what i had and sold the damn thing for a honda, you all can laugh if you want. so im trying to find anothe but i want a 97 and im not sure where to start, and with what kind of platform i should have. im only looking to run around 18 psi, and want a six bolt. can anyone shove me in the right direction. and maybe help me find the the car im looking for???

If you're looking for a six bolt but don't want to swap one in you'll have to go for the 90-92 range DSMs (1G) but since you're looking for a '97, what I'd do is go find either a GST or GSX like you had before - keep your 2G head and then go to ebay, craigslist, or DSM Graveyard (Google it) and find a 6-bolt short block and mate the two together. The short block on Graveyard will run you about $499 or so which isn't bad, or you ebay a used full engine and remove the head. The runners on the 2G are better - from what I've read. So yeah that's a start I guess?
