South Side Chicago here. Not from a suburb, actual Chicago. Unlike some people live in Naperville (nothing personal) or something and will say they're Chicago.

I'm just off Ogden, over by the high school.

And here we go (I could have sworn I'd seen this, so I went back to check): the Windy City Miata Club holds autocross events at the Zion-Benton High School.

Holy SHIZ!!!!!!! I just graduated from ZBTHS!!! WHy the Fahq didn't I know about any damn auto-x events????

Their course is just a damn drivers ed learning thingy...ya know? Just some white paint on the blacktop to practing parallel parking and crap like that

DAMM, LETS START AN AUTO-X MEET!! I"LL BE THE HOST!!

Wheaton here. suprised to see so many people so close to me. thats awesome

Yes. ;)

(And if you really wanted to get an Auto-X meet going, it might be a better idea to piggy-back on someone else's event; JSCC has played host to a large number of Viper club members for the last couple of events at Joliet Junior College, and I believe the Miata folks let anyone tag along, regardless of vehicle. You really don't want to know how much is involved in getting a legal autocross event up and running...insurance, liability waivers, paying for a location, checking local noise ordinances, informing local police that you're not just randomly spinning around a parking lot, etc.)
