So I competed my first autocross event yesterday. I've rode with my buddy Aaron quite a few times before and I knew that this is what I wanted to do. So after so many problems this year with the car she was finally able to get out on the track and let me say THAT IT WAS A BLAST! The goal for the day was to get at least a 40.99 I did my first fun of 45.xx the day consisted of 4 passes in the morning and 8 after break. On my last run of the morning session I pulled a 41.4 and was so pumped. The session after break my first run was a 41.7 I believe so I was getting more consistant. After a few more more runs I finally broke into the 40's with a 40.328. I was so pumped I met my goal so for the rest of my runs I was just trying to get more smooth and consistant. My 7th run of the second session felt pretty good (besides the fact I still had my POS all season kuhmo that make the car handle like crap and want to kick out) and I was blown away by the number when I came across the line. A 39.849 :hellyeah:. I finished 3rd in my class and it was only 1 second slower then most of the evos and stis there with bigger brakes and way better tires. Lets just say I'm hooked and can't wait to get my other set of tires on the car. I owe a big thanks to my co pilot Aaron (GofaST4life) for the instructions and helping me see the course better. He did pretty well despite the fact he's having hesitation problems going around hard corners. The few shots I got from the day.

On the way to the event

Very happy for you man. You did very well considering this was your first event and the tires you have are absolute crap.

Now go get your Hankooks on!

And ill get them plug wires!

That's a huge improvement. Love Autocrossing. What tires did you have on? What tires are you planning on getting next?

I personally didn't take pictures because I was either working or racing. Ill see if anyone was taking photos of the event and if so ill post them up for everyone. Fastest run of the day was a evo x at 35.8 on 275 z2s. 4 seconds off the fastest time of the day with crap tires and no expriance with a car with less power. Pretty good day I'd say.

Congrats! I auto-x'ed for the first time at the Shootout this year, it was a blast and I'm also addicted! Get some better tires and just rack up your seat time, its the best way to get better at it :)

Yea those tires are horrible at autox. I tried to race them a few times and just took them off they were so bad. The car is so much more fun with good tires on it.

I watched you and it seemed like you were having a blast. That's the mentality I went in with. Just have fun and learn. I knew I wasn't gonna be super competitive because of my tires I had.

I agree. The car felt like a fwd on hard turns and like a huge hp rwd on lighter turns wanting to kick out. Tires are so unpredictable and unsafe it's hard to believe these are legal to put on your car.

Still trying to get some pictures of the other cars but I've got a few of my run.
He said hopefully he'll be able to upload them by next week.
