NOOOOOO i'm sorry. ok yes i cracked a joke , and it's my opinion that the paint is,,,, eccentric. But im serious it's a 1g. they are bullet proof. i had a Gsr at your age sooo.

Congrats on your new car! Seems to be pretty clean from those pictures. That dark blue that's on the front is nice, maybe you can paint the entire car that color.

On the car - nice first car and congrats on saving the money for it yourself. Pick up some stock front end pieces and paint her up an your golden. If your gonna rock the rocket pop just shrug your shoulders on here because most on here don't care much for the FNF stuff. Props to miliman on the quick draw!

On the 14b in the high 11's go up to the top of the page click members and click 1/4 mile times. Keep scrolling back until you find 14b turbos listed and there you go.

"Driving through the rain" effect on the front with blue fading into black towards the rear might be interesting. Pretty difficult to pull off though.

And to save you the trouble: 1/4 mile times, page 13 is about where 14b first appears with time of 12.373
Only one way to know for sure. Take the car to a drag strip and make couple passes.

No it actually doesnt. So wait is 14b turbos bad? I thought they were better then some tje only good times i see for turbos is the full garret

No it will be a fun turbo. Just not very likely that the previous owner ever got close to the 11's. Nothing wrong with the 14b. Heck I had fun when my car was stock with just a T25 and FWD. I still want to build a car with a T28 just because it would look completely stock.

Haha thats funny. Yea the guy said it has more mods like 10grand idk if this all true the xlutch is really good and that i can tell. I just wanna get it fully examined to see whats all really done. Idc if it gets an 11.9 or not just be happy to beat my friends subarus they always bragging with it

One can not simply add a bigger turbo and all of a sudden become faster. Some supporting mods are needed, usually a wideband O2 gauge, some way of tuning the engine (ECMLink being one of the most popular), perhaps bigger injectors, different camshafts, things of that nature. Existence (or lack) of certain supporting mods explains how cars with "better" turbos are slower.
While 14b might not be the fastest, surely it is fast enough for you for now.

Also please avoid any street racing discussions on the forum since it is illegal (and dangerous).

Like i forgot the guy said he had spent like 10 grand under the hood. So thags why i wasnt sure if he got that time because if he just has that turbo and mo other mods then yea i wouldnt believe it.

That's a really nice car for a 17 year old kid, at that age I bought my first car which was a 1987 nissan Sentra hatch back, looking paint was not even 1/4 as yours, but felt in love with it, just because I bought it my self and was 100% mine.

Good thing I din't buy a 1g turbo because I was so crazy at that age and having a dsm at that age, I wouldn't be in this forum right now.

Did the guy you bought it from give you any receipts? If he did you should see if he recently got the timing belt changed. If not you should really look into getting it changed.

There is lots of really good information for new owners on this site. These cars are pretty easy to work on compared to other cars, and you can learn a lot by working on it your self.
