DSMs on long trips

Just out of curiosity, what's the farthest you've drove in your DSM? I have never really took mine a long distance minus bringing it home from the Lubbock where I bought it from and thats only 2 hours..Personally, I get a little uncomfortable after awhile, the 1G interior is not the most comfortable thing in the world haha..

I drove to Long Beach California from Flagstaff AZ for a GSX but luckily the car didn't break down till I got it back . It was uncormfortable to say the least, but I imagine a 10 drive in any car would be somewhat uncormfortable.

I drove mine 7 hours back home when I first bought it wasn't that bad only thing that sucked was it has no ac other than that it went smooth

8 hours one way up to my cottage. When i bought it i drove 6 hours to get it.

Pssssshhh! 167 miles or 1.45hrs is pushing it for me already. I check the gauges constantly because I'm that paranoid.
My honda, I didn't even bother to look. Drove that thing like crazy!

A few weeks ago I drove 3.5 each way to Traverse City and back. It was a great ride with my 11 year old. We just rode along and talked about nothing in particular. I think the DSM is a pleasure to drive with the stock suspension.

I drove my 95 gst from Chicago to Long beach and put it on a boat to Kauai. Car has over 200,000 still stock motor and had absolutely no problems the whole way. My wife and I had a blast best car Ive ever driving across country in. Smoked a few local ricers on the way to .

Roughly 865 miles one way (12-16 hours, depending on speed/road conditions, but always straight through) to school (Milwaukee, WI) and back. I did that approximately 12 times a year for 3 years.

Portland to phoenix, I think I got you all beat! About 1,400 miles, I've done it a few times but in a DSM really isnt that great with tight suspension. But around the mountains boost sure helps passing people like nothing.

Central Virginia to far west Texas. Over 1,900 miles. Three day trip and the only problem was getting pulled over for "improper exhaust" before even getting out of Virginia. Otherwise smooth sailing.

But hate to burst your bubbles, Chicago to Long Beach is a smidge over 2000 miles. Dsmkauai still has you beat unless we aren't counting him for having an '05

Oh I'll add one of those days I drove 15 hours straight only stopping to piss eat and gas up. And my wife doesn't drive stick so I drove the whole trip got some sick pics of the 2g at the grand canyon. And already edited post sorry got big thumbs and typing on my iPod touch . 95 gst!!

Salt Lake City to Las Vegas multiple times. The first time being about a week after I bought the car and a day or two after putting it back together. The thing that sucked the worst was not having a working cruise control and a blown right knee.

I drove my 1st DSM which was a 1G from FT. Hood, TX to Boise,ID and back on a 4 day weekend and its 28hrs each way and 1865miles each way hahahaha thats was good times. Never had an issue with it. Did i mention i did these drives non-stop and SOLO!!!!!

I've got you all beat 3100 Miles from Yellowknife, NT to Toronto, ON. Then allll the way back 4 weeks later. Alternator died halfway. Other than that it was a great trip. I love long hauls in the Talon. Canada is seriously f'n HUGE!

how many days it take you cause mine was a total of 3700 miles in less than 4 days now that is hard to beat and when you do it by yourself is what make it impressive hahhahaha or just really DUMB

I took mine from south texas to louisiana to go pickup a head,block, tranny and some parts. Everthing was in the trunk and part where the rear seats are, by the way was my 96 GST when was modded with meth and 27psi hella fun. and it was a non stop!

Yea... loosing a qt of oil every 500 due to now replaced cracked oil pan.... that was FANTASTIC.. But she made it and still running great!!

Getting pulled for exhaust sounds about right for driving in VA.

I haven't had the need to drive very far but I did drive about 500 miles on a two way trip one day in my 1g.

I really didn't think anything would happen since I keep up with maintenance and run everything at a safe level.

Furthest for me was 225 miles, about a 4 hour drive on my way home when I first got it. (On a shit tune with a t70)
