3G eclipse,which motor to build on?

I have a 3g eclipse.looking to turbo upgrade.I have a holset hx35w,looking to switch to E85,and run about 10 psi.can I stay with the 4g64.whats the diff between the 4g64 & 4g63.can I piggyback my ECU,or do I need to switch to a turbo ecu to piggyback?if so will a older turbo ecu work?or will I have to find a 2000 or newer ecu.I know this turbo is big,so please just help me with where I going with this.will the rest of the n/a to turbo switch be the same as 1G OR 2G.tnx
 
OK your profile says 2g. Are you working on a 2g or a 3g? If its a 3g not allot of people are going to be of help here. Not much support for 3gs here. If it is a 3g the 4g64 in it is reverse orientation to the 2g 4g64.

I have been wondering about using some evo8 parts on a 3g eclipse would work. But since I do not own one I haven't done much looking into it.
 
I have A 2g & 3g,but my ? is about a 3g.I want to witch to a turbo.want to know what to change on my 4g64
 
Yea I dont think many people here can help you with the 3G question but the link above should help you out and good luck with the build.
 
running a hx35 at 10psi is dumb... It would yeild no more or less power than a 14b or a 16g at that level.. they are designed for higher applications and the compressor map would suck at that pressure level..
 
Just find a totaled 3000 gt turbo or steath FWD and swap the drivetrain over. That would be fun.
 
Moved to the Hangout where NON-DSM questions are supposed to go. Even though you have a 4g64, it's still in a totally different, non-DSM chassis, with completely different wiring, engineering, drivetrain, etc.

And please: No "What's a DSM and what isn't a DSM" arguments.
 
+1 on the 3kgt powertrain. Id love to swap a 6g motor into my 2g. I almost regret selling my 3s.


Also, the 3g eclipse is the biggest dissapointment the world has seen since the death of christ.
