wow. man I gotta make it out there next year. I'm so disappointed in myself for not going. But I had to make the choice whether to save the money to use for the car or the trip. This way, I'll be ready for next year for sure.

And don't waste your time if you don't like to watch bad quality vids! Skip till there's about 40 seconds left.

What an unbelievable weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out; I'm glad there were no serious injuries or accidents despite one rollover in the sandpit at the end of the track by a DSMer that lost his brakes. He checked out OK and was back from the ER to be recognized on the podium at the end of the day.
My good buddy talondave won the Bracket 1 Class, taking home some cash and a brand new Exedy Clutch Kit. Another Western PA local, Jared Early, drove his Starion/Conquest to the the first place finish in the Quick 16 event and also set a personal best pass for his car by breaking into the 8's.
Holset turbos stood strong all weekend- Dave's HX35 logged over 58 lb/min of airflow giving him a consistent & reliable advantage in the Bracket 1 class Sunday. Another good buddy of mine (dacowgod) put down 574whp/520tq on Buschur's dyno on Saturday with his HX40, which was the highest horsepower number of any non-sponsored (non-shop) car in the dyno competition.
Congrats to Dave and Ricky- you guys have worked very hard and spent lots of money to make all of this happen! Next year will be even better.

Definitely the hottest sun I've spent time in for a while. Add to the racing event a couple of wasted hours for cleanup from a couple of broken Quick 16 cars, and you have a recipe for one hell of a sunburn. I think the line for the "$1 for 1lb" of Ice Cream stretched around the building at one point.
Of the past seven times I've been there, it's either been unbearably hot or freezing cold. I don't think a Shootout has ever taken place on a 70* partly-cloudy day.
