So im going to pick up my new Eclipse soon. Its a 92 Eclipse 5 speed nt. I need a reliable car since I have a baby on the way so i went with a nt. $900. The guy bought it for his step daughter and put $700 into it before she got her permit. She didnt like the 5 speed so the guy is selling it. BUT, thats not all. Its coming with a 1G Eclipse parts car. The only thing that needs is a tranny. So, im using that motor for my talon. I will have a running Eclipse, a running Talon, and a parts car. Nice aye??

No, I woulda gone with turbo.

: (

I love boost. But its nice having an extra 200 in the bank this payday from the gas savings. :) My 2g died and im rolling a 92 olds hoopty it owns the DSM in MPGs haha. When did you get pregnant AJ ? :p

Another N/T in the stable? Errr, OK.

Everyone is so judgemental. Well I would like to say congrats on the kid coming, and you made a wise choice to get something more reliable ect ect. Well happy days and best wishes

Congrats on the kid!
I really don't see how a n/t is anymore reliable than a fwd turbo dsm. I know there are more parts involved that can break with the awd, but the fwd just has a turbo and more power:D My 90gst never really gave me any problems, got 25mpg and could do over 150mph. Previous maintenance and owner's driving habits will have a lot to do with it as well. It's the same timing belt that will snap if its not changed. It's still a dsm, its just more likely it wasn't as beat on because its n/t
Congrats on the buy if it makes you happy! Do you plan on maybe throwing a turbo on one of them?

I know you aren't new here...

Missed that part.

Yeah you are right what am I thinking... I guess you can't take the stripes off a zebra LOL

And NTs are more reliable in several ways....

1. Less beat on.
2. Less chance of going into the wall at 140 mph
2.1 Less chance of wanting to go 140 mph
3. No turbo to blow up
4. No chance of your woman trying to destroy it because you want to spend your baby's milk money on a new downpipe or insert name of part.

We are the most judgemental forms of humans you'll ever meet. Answering the same questions over and over get to a guy. I would like to say congrats on the kid.

Thanks to all that congradulated me. Im very excited. N/T's are more reliable in many ways. Less to worry about. And I am not buying a vehicle unless its a DSM. LOL. I do plan on turboing one of the three DSM's i have. Then i can have one DSM to toy around in and the other to go to my daughter's docter's apointments and the grocery store. I will probably turbo the talon and baby my eclipse. I think this was a great buy. A 92 Eclipse that runs and a parts car with a good motor that I can throw in my Talon all for $900.

Oh and i test drove a 2g today! the first ever 2g ive ever rode in let alone drive. And my first time driving a 420A. Rode just the same as my 1g's. I liked it. Some day, i may get a 2g. It was a 96 eclipse rs. Btw, whats the difference bewtween an rs and an es? 420A and 4G63?

Mines broken down more than some turbo dizzums.
I don't like this riff raff.

Ok i got it! Its very nice. It was babied and has alot of power. ill get pics tomarrow since i got home late.

Congrats :thumb: If ya ever need help with it, hit me up sometime

Wow. So there is no 2G nt with a 4G63? (Stock of course) . Thanks Trav83, i will do that.

Im pretty sure there is no EDM DSM, they are all made here in the US.

All 2g NT's came with the 420a.

IF there is such a thing as a STOCK 2g NT 4g63, id love to see a picture of that.
