so im driving back from picking up a modified (had a slipping clutch for bout 6months)
and i was going up a hill and the car almost didn't make it OMG, barely make it home!
so i was planing on just changing the clutch but thought about the million problems i had
oil leak, died at dead stop, motor out a balance. so i just said screw, it ill rebuild the motor
:D

well its been a while since then (sorry no coverage of tear down:notgood:) but so far ive bought mahle pistons and eagle rods (block currently in machine shop) head is getting a 3 angle vj, all supertech components (dual valve springs inconel valves:D and more)

So what's the big boost going to be coming from after it's done?
 
30-76, or 35-82 i know i know theres completely different but it just depends an alot of
things (91, or 100+ octane), (water to air or front mount) still deciding
i love water to air systems:D
machinist said block will be done on wed!
 
Ive been in a 30-65 (fp) and it was quite baller, you'll love it :)
 
Nice... im building my for the same goal too.
I got the 2.3L stroker kit (everything forged)
and 1mm oversized valves

and later ill put the fp green turbo.. and see how it goes.

so i finally picked up the block and the rotating assembly from my machinist and the finished product looks ok dosent look as good as some of the work ive seen on here.
but any ways after paying him my arm and leg i went next door to the local import shop
and ordered
-arp main and head studs :thumb:
-cleavite 77 (h) bearings i guesss they just came out? so i got em :D

I like your setup a lot. It's very similar to mine. Except I don't have any port work in my head and I'm only using a SBR-G50. I would have went with a big FP turbo but I didn't have the money. Those FP turbo's are insane :thumb:

I am curious as to what drivetrain component upgrades you will be doing? I have a value built tranny from jackstransmissions.com, ACT 2600, and XACT Flywheel. I love the the jack transmission!! :D
 
well hopefully buy july i should have my stage4 rebuild tranny from sheptrans:thumb:
and a dss aluminum driveshaft, along with a four bolt rear end and dss axles all the way
around, oh and a twin plate clutch (haven't decided on what company to go with) :D
 
Good luck with the build! looks like its all going smooth for you so far. What cams are you gonna be putting in that head?
 
Looking good. I'm using Wiseco Stroker pistson, Eagle H-Beams, Eagle 100mm Crank, SBR Stage 6 head with Manley valve train (1mm over/ss), BC 280 cams, 1050cc injectors, custom SMIM, 90mm TB, tubular T3/4 Exhaust manifold with 38mm wastegate, Bosch FP, HP Fuel Rail...all managed with MegaSquirt that I had modified by Paul @ SymTechLabs.

I'm in talks with someone about an H2E turbo, if this falls through then I'll be using an H1e/HX40

I'm on a start to my 625hp goal. Next big purchase will be my Shep Stage 4 Manual/swap.
 
Look in Jackstransmissions.com. You get more for your money and he will price beat anyone. I have his value build and could not be happier. What I like about Jack is he is the one that builds your tranny and no one else, so its always built by a pro. If you buy one from shep, im pretty sure he will never see that tranny and his minions will build it.
 
But Shep will give me more credit for transmissions I send him, more than anyone else I've seen.
 
funny story i was checking the ring end gaps and the paper said .0055 and the gap read
.018 WTF WTF WTF that was way to big so i freaked out and called mahle!
and he said "## multiplying it by the bore size right?" so i felt like a retard :tease:
just thought id through that out there LOL

but so far the bore is perfect and the readings are right on the spot still got more to measure :thumb: pretty much blue printing this thing :thumb:



btw im liking that goal i wish i had the money to make that power never driven a car with more than 300 hp and im going straight to 550!:D
